The year is 2012...so many things to blog about...here is what I can remember about 2010-2012.
Jim got a new job in June 2010. He went to work in Calgary at a company called Sigit Group. He took some programming courses at SAIT in Calgary, then started his job at Sigit. He would drive to Calgary Monday morning for a 5 day work week. Then Friday evening he would drive back home to Taber to be with us for the weekend...then he would do the same thing again, and again...this went on for about a year. I became pregnant in June of 2010 with our 3rd child. I was working still at the Taber Hospital in Emerg and Active Care. I applied for a job on Day Procedures at the LRH and started working there in September of 2010. Gage was in pre-k at Dr. Hamman School and really enjoyed it. In March 2011 we were blessed to welcome Cade Takeo Robison to our family. Cade was born in Taber. He was nurse delivered and there is a wild story to tell one day about his delivery. We put our house up for sale in March 2011 as well and it sold in about a month. We then started looking for houses in Calgary, Airdrie, Chestermere and Strathmore. We bought a house in Strathmore, about 40mins east of Calgary on Hwy. 1. We moved May long weekend, 2011. We have been here since. Gage started Kindergarten in Sept. and is able to take the bus to school. He went Mon/Wed and some Fridays. We had a hard time adjusting to school life but once we got the hang of things, the school year seemed to fly by!! I babysit a little girl from across the street 4 days a week and Addi has a new friend to play with. There is one ward in Strathmore so the LDS community is quite small compared to Taber, but it's nice too. All the kids have had a birthday here, at least one each...Addi has had 2. We have been here for a year now and it has gone by so quickly...it's amazing the things you remember and the things we forget in just a year!!!
The memories continue wherever we are!
This year we took the kids on a Disney cruise to the Bahama's...Jim's sister was able to fly here from England with her 2 kids and stay for 2 weeks...then on her last day here Ian (Jim's dad) had a heart attack...Diane flew back here to be close and help out wherever possible...Ian had bypass surgery and is now recovering well...Diane flew back to England mid July...Jim and I and the kids went to McGeggor Lake in Kalispell for Jim's bday in July, with our good friends Micah and Aric...Jim and I are taking the kids to BC in Aug. for a week to visit my sister Drina and her kids...meet her newest Nolan, and visit with grammas...then head back to Kalispell to have a boating trip on Flathead Lake...we are taking our niece and nephew, Abby and Nate too...this vaca is with Jim's side of the family...we rented a cabin for the week on the lake...i am soooo excited for relaxation and sun and sleep!!! and of course lots of memories!!
Gage broke his arm the end of June...he fell of an inflatable water slide, broke his ulna, 23 degree break!
We were at the Strathmore Emerg for 5 hours...I was not impressed at all with the whole experience. I have been on both sides of the system and five hours for a 5 year old who broke his arm is not exceptable. This would have never happened in Taber. :)
We enjoy being here, but sometimes wish to be back in Taber...we know that it's the Lord's will and timing but we hope to make Taber our home again some day!
We are working hard on developing our basement...it is finally coming along nicely! lots of motivation is all Jim needed to get things started!...that's another story for later...
Anyway, that's about as much up to date as I can be for now...the kids keep nagging me to make them popcorn...kids are they constantly hungry or what!????
